What does it really mean to be a "Picture of Health"?... I don't believe it means simply looking "fit", working out every day, eating a healthy diet 100% of the time or missing out on your favourite foods altogether.
To be a "Picture of Health" is to be organised, plan you day, your week, enjoy your favourite foods, but do so on the days you train the hardest, when you have earnt it and can enjoy it without the guilt. Train smart, train with friends, set goals, feel amazing when you achieve them then set new ones.
You are the only thing standing between you and your goals so sit down, decide what you want and ask for it because...
"YOU CANNOT HIT A TARGET THAT YOU CANNOT SEE"
ABOUT ME...
My name is Kelly and I have grown up in Perth, Western Australia. I have always loved playing sport and was involved in netball and athletics throughout most of my school years. After leaving school I did what most 18 year olds did - I went out drinking 3 nights a week, finishing up with a late night kebab and really didn't care or understand what I put in my mouth. I certainly wasn't making time to exercise. These habits went on for a few years and it wasn't until I saw a photo of myself - a horrible photo - that I realised I needed to change my unhealthy lifestyle quick smart. I wasn't obese, but I had certainly put on around 10kgs after leaving school and didn't feel comfortable at all.
Since then I have been a planner - working shift work, I need to be. I need to plan out my meals around my shifts, and also my training. If I don't have a plan, it won't happen at all. I set goals, I make a plan to achieve them, and I do, no matter what. They say it takes 21 days to form a new habit - so set yourself a daily goal, no matter how small, (maybe it will be to park a block away from the train station or your workplace, or start each day with a glass of water with a slice of lemon) and prove to yourself that you can form a new habit....make exercise and proper nutrition a habit, not a chore, find a way to enjoy it and look forward to it.
After years of doing this for myself, I decided I wanted to help others set and achieve their own goals, and so in 2011 I completed Certificate 3 and 4 of Fitness at the Australian Institute of Fitness and graduated as a "Master Trainer".
No matter what your goal may be, and no matter how you prefer to train, be it 1 on 1, with a friend or "partner training", in your own backyard or local park - "mobile training", or amongst a small group in the sunshine - "outdoor group fitness" - I will help you nut out a plan, and together we will achieve that goal. I believe everyone has the ability to be...and it is never to late to become....A "PICTURE OF HEALTH"
